A magical and enchanting finish to our 22nd season! Join the S.O. as we perform the music of fairy tales, stories and more!

The concert opens with Michael Kamen’s soundtrack to Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. We then present the Prologue to Bianca da Molena (The White Dove) by Polish composer Mieczysław Karłowicz and then finish our first half with a collaboration with our S.O. Youth Philharmonic! The combined orchestras of the S.O. and the S.O.Y.P. will perform two pieces to end the first half — the “Legend of Ashitaka” from Joe Hisaishi’s soundtrack to Princess Mononoke and the “Festmarch” from Carl Nielsen’s Aladdin.

To close out our 22nd season, the orchestra performs the magical music of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade. A musical journey through 1001 Arabian Nights, it is full of lush and singable melodies and something you’ll be humming all summer long.

This concert is sponsored by Grace Strobel and is part of the Subscription Series which is sponsored by Edgeworth Capital Group.

In person shows are available for Friday Night and Saturday Matinee, and a livestream is available for Saturday Matinee as well.
